Hi!

I'm working as admin on http://fanfiction.oblonline.de and we have a problem with the imageupload.

I can choose the image, I want to upload, but after I press the submit-button, I get this Error-Message:

Warning: move_uploaded_file(stories/118/images/guardian_klein.jpg): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /www/htdocs/ffobl/includes/upload_class.php on line 132

Warning: move_uploaded_file(): Unable to move '/tmp/phpgdFaJU' to 'stories/118/images/guardian_klein.jpg' in /www/htdocs/ffobl/includes/upload_class.php on line 132

Warning: fopen(stories/118/images/imagelist.js): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /www/htdocs/ffobl/user/manageimages.php on line 38

Warning: fwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /www/htdocs/ffobl/user/manageimages.php on line 42

Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /www/htdocs/ffobl/user/manageimages.php on line 43

We are running eFiction 3.2.1... I compared the files with my 3.1.1 version, they are the same in these lines, but the files aren't written on the server!

Can somebody help please???

Your host probably turned safe_mode on.

I don't know!

It worked fine with eFiction 2.0. but now, with the new version not... I checked nearly every single line but I can't find something.

In the admin panel, there is a panel called phpinfo or similar. Check there to see if your host has safe_mode on. Then come back and let  us know.

yes! found it!!!

did you mean this?

safe_mode Off Off
safe_mode_exec_dir no value no value
safe_mode_gid On On
safe_mode_include_dir no value no value

so... safe_mode is off... right?

Is that folder CHMOD'd to 777?  It's returning an error that the script doesn't have permission to write to that location.  The stories folder and all folders under it need to be CHMOD'd to 777 (on some systems 755 will work).
