URL to your eFiction: http://fanfiction.bitter-solemnity.com
Version of eFiction: 3.0 - 3.0.1
Have you bridged eFiction, if so with what?: Nope
Version of PHP: 4.3.11
Version of MySQL: 4.1.21
Have you searched for your problem: yes
If so, what terms did you try: header.php, Cannot modify header, installation problems
Have you looked at the FAQs: yep
State the nature of your problem:  I installed all the files and I can access my site through the login page, and once I'm logged in, I can see the site, but accessing the site through the index page, I get this error:

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/bittern/public_html/fanfiction/includes/dbfunctions.php:17) in /home/bittern/public_html/fanfiction/header.php on line 127

That's all that it says.  I've checked header.php and user.php to make sure there were no spaces at the bottom, and I've tried to reinstall it, and I keep getting the same error, and was wondering if there was some way to fix this.  It's probably painfully easy and I'm overlooking something, but any help would be great. πŸ™‚

Okay then go into phpmyadmin and give us a list of tables in your database. Specifically, look for a PREFIXfanfiction_blocks table where PREFIX is the table prefix you assigned to your database.  We need to figure out exactly which query is failing on your site before the header loads.  It seems to be finding the site settings.  The next query is for the blocks, and that seems to be where it might be failing.  And that's likely because the table didn't get created.

I have 6 fields in the _blocks table, is there any more info you need to know from that?

Browse that table and see if there's any data in the table.

Yeah, I'm seeing the data that should be installed with each field, and then looking further into it, I have the ten blocks installed from the installation.

Go into your settings table and edit the setting for maintenance to be 0 instead of 1.
