Have you searched for your problem: Yes
If so, what terms did you try: panels, panels.php, uploading
State the nature of your problem: When I uploaded all the files via ftp, I kept getting stuck on panels.php in the admin folder. It will not upload no matter how I try to do it. I'm not sure why. Because the new panels.php will not upload, I get the following error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/wizards/public_html/admin/panels.php on line 117
Is anyone else having this problem? What should I do to address it?
What FTP program are you using? Sometimes there are problems with FTP Programs, I suggest you try uploading it from the web via net2ftp.com or a free program, you can see the list we have here on the old FAQs. Under 'What is FTP, and how do I do it?".
Thank you, Becca!
I use SmartFTP 2.0 and have never run into this particular problem before, but you were right - it was obviously the program that was hanging for some reason. I used net2ftp and transferred the file successfully...now we're golden!
Appreciate the help!

No problem π
Hi Parvana
I use smart ftp too and really like it although it is sometimes guilty of dropping a file or two, you just have to be careful and watch them. I tend to do a folder at a time now, rather than just the whole lot, seems safer
I aslo use cute ftp and that one is less prone to dropping files, and easier to monitor, althogh it is not a freebie.
why is nothing ever easy?
