Is it going to be a problem if the default permissons of all the files is changed to 755 as long as I CHMOD the config.php and story files to 666 and 777 respectively?

because that's what awardsite does if you FTP the files. I had to get a different host because zymic got to difficult and would not let me upload any more files.

If you want you can keep the story folder as 755, that's what it is on my website. I guess you could make the story files 777 but if they don't show up, then change it to 755. Config.php has to be 666 in order to run the install properly. So it should be fine. I know that some folks around here use awardsite and haven't had any problem. Sorry zymic was giving you issues. That's the hit or miss of free sites.

The story files need to be 655. The folder containing the stories needs to be 777.
