URL to your eFiction: d4056775.u30.infinology.com (not-live) (and absolutechaos.net (live currently rolled back to the 2.0.7)

Version of eFiction: 2.07 try to upgrade to 3.0.1

Have you bridged eFiction, if so with what?: no

Version of PHP: can be found out from your host--My host support is seemingly non-existant for the not-live site that I'm currently trying to upgrade so I don't know and can't find out, HOWEVER, I tried the upgrade on absolutechaos.net and had the exact same error. the PHP for that is 4.4.4. Ultimately this is the site that I want to use the script on but I had far more problems trying to install and the site is live so I had to roll back to previous version

Version of MySQL: can be found out from your host: (same prob but other server w/same issue...)4.1.21-standard

Have you searched for your problem: (yes/no) Yes. Can't find.

If so, what terms did you try: parse, and I looked through all the threads in the upgrade support area looking for this as well as other problems I was having with the other site. I found a few similar, but not this particular problem.

Have you looked at the FAQs: Yes, didn't find anything that worked out.

State the nature of your problem: Copy and paste any errors you are receiving.
Parse error: parse error, unexpected '"' in /hsphere/local/home/chaos/absolutechaos.net/install/upgrade20.php on line 900

(and in /home/ac/public_html/install/upgrade20.php on line 900)

My problem with the other site that I ran into was that it wasn't recognizing that I was upgrading a site rather than installing a fresh one. Eventually I managed to get past that (honestly I don't remember for sure what I did that finally worked, but I think I just deleted all the files and reuploaded them all again), but then got stuck at this same error. That's the point where I remembered my old server (I *just* went through a server move prior to starting this upgrade, so that might be a piece of the puzzle...I have things working fine on the new server using the 2.0.7 version before I tried to upgrade and again now though)

What's the link of the page you get the error on? That could help.

Whoever said nothing is impossible never tried slamming a revolving door.

url: https://www.potionsandsnitches.org/fanfiction
php: 7.4.33 msql: 5.6.51-community GPL
efic version: 3.5.5 latest patches: yes

Sorry, thought I put that in thereΒ

it's http://d4056775.u30.infinology.com/install/upgrade20.php (or absolutechaos.net/install/upgrade20.php
(I got it during step 1, basically. I got the Configuration File Setup
eFiction 2.0 config file detected. Click to upgrade page, clicked the link and immediately get the error)

It's a typo in the script.  I've updated the download to correct it. Pull the .zip again and try it now.

Bump.  Are we good now?  If the original poster doesn't reply back in a week, this thread will be closed.
