State the nature of your problem: Black screen shows up after authors submit stories. Their stories do submit but it doesn't give a success message just redirects to a black screen

Is there a way I could download the older version of 3.4.3 and use the stories.php file because I'm pretty sure that is what is causing the error.

The upgrade was a security upgrade. Your site is vulnerable to hackers on the older versions.
Yes, but what else should we do when nobody is able to fix the bugs in stories.php? 😛 There are 4 or 5 similar threads in the bug forum mentioning this problem. I've replaced my stories.php in 3.5 with the one from 3.4.3. All other files are from 3.5.
