URL to your eFiction: http://gossip-fic.net/
Version of eFiction: 3.4.3
Have you bridged eFiction, if so with what?: no
Version of PHP: 5.0
Version of MySQL: 5.0
Have you searched for your problem: Yes
If so, what terms did you try: , and its pretty much the same as this person https://efiction.org/forums/index.php?topic=5699.0, except that I tried all of the suggestions, and I continue to get that error message.  The users folder has all the files in there.  I'm looking at my database.  It seems that within the database, two other databases were created. One is named what I named my database, and theres one other one in there named information_schema which has 17 tables (? thats my guess) in it, while the one I created has 27.  My guess is that information_schema doesn't have anything to do with efiction...
State the nature of your problem: Just installed efiction for first time, and I can't log in. This is my first time ever installing eFiction.
The home page displays correctly, except that after going to log in, it gives me that HTTP 404 error message
The web cannot be found.  Most likely causes: there might be a typing error in the address; if you clicked a lilnk it may be out of date
Do you have a test account for us? Not really, it only displays the error page

A 404 error would not be caused by your database. It means a page is missing, so make sure you installed everything. What is the url in the address bar when you get the 404 error? That's the one that's missing.

The information_schema tables are probably supposed to be there. Sometimes hosts give you access to the phpMyAdmin config table. That sounds like the information_schema tables. Leave them alone.

The login page displays correctly for me. I clicked the login link from the menu and everything was OK.

Carissa, I did check for that page, and it seemed to be there.  I ended up just deleting the whole thing and starting fresh with a new install.  Thanks!
