I've had a couple of authors who have had problems logging into their accounts, both newly created and current members. Is there a way to go in and manually override/change user info, such as the password for logging in?

Yeah, I do that all the time. For some reason, aol e-mails never get the password e-mails. I just go in, edit their accounts and change their passwords. Then I contact them, explain the situation, and send the new password.
Whoever said nothing is impossible never tried slamming a revolving door.
