Newbie here needing some help.. when I make an attmept to run the installation .. I get the follwing error message:mAccess denied for user 'dbuser'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

Like I said.. I'm new trying to feel my way throught this..any help would be nice.. please be gentle..
the first guess would be that you have entered the wrong username or database name or password.
Whne that first screen comes up with those feilds
leave database host at: localhost
but when you put in your database name and user did you prefix it:
for example, if your host logon name is zxfactor and the databse name was efic (change those to your own values) and the user in your database was called writer
then in the database name you need to put
zxfactor_efic
and for user
zxfactor_writer
and then enter the password normally
try going back to http://thechamber.kreativefuzion.com/chambertest/eFiction34/install/install.php and renter the data and see if that helps

You're error message is different.
Move the config out of the docs folder into the root directory for your efic install then run the installation again.
Also, once you move the config.php file to your main efic root directory, you need to chmod it to 666 so the install script can write the info to it.

It gives us a little work but in the end was simpler than we thought. 😛 😛
to all those are new at this let me tell you have to pay attention to a few things
*Before installing efic on your site, create the DataBase. Use the wizard. Remember mark all the permissions.
*Config.php file has to be with the rest of the files, and not inside of any folder, and the perm has to be 666 not 644
*And to any doubt you could have, ask to the experts here on the forum. They're really, really nice!!! 😉
