URL to your eFiction: http://amalthia.mediawood.net/ebooks/
Version of eFiction: 3.3.7
Have you bridged eFiction, if so with what?: no
Version of PHP: 5.2
Version of MySQL: 5.2
Have you searched for your problem: Yes, and I couldn't find anything similar
If so, what terms did you try: Security Warning, pop ups
State the nature of your problem:   I just added this story and when I went to check to make sure everything added okay, I got a popup saying File Download - Security Warning. I have no clue why I'm getting a security warning for this story in question because it's not different from any of the other stories I've added. I added one after this one and I don't get a warning popup. I'm using IE7, i'm not sure if this is a problem with firefox or not but I'm baffled and I was hoping someone could tell me what I'm doing wrong.
Do you have a test account for us? no

link directly to story having problem-  http://amalthia.mediawood.net/ebooks/viewstory.php?sid=334

Thanks for your time

I think it seems like one of your users somehow uploaded a file that is insecure (possibly harmful? Though maybe not intentional), as I'm also getting the same error message in IE7 as well (I normally use Firefox though). It seems to be possibly from a user called "Amireal". Do you get this error message anywhere else?

Why don't you try contacting that user to re-upload his/her or update their work and see if it goes away, or as if they're having the same problem?

I'm the one that uploaded the story. I deleted, and re-uploaded. I changed the Story title from Unhealthy Attachment to Test and it opened without a problem. For some reason the words Unhealthy Attachment trigger a security warning in IE7 but I'm not sure how to fix that. πŸ™

I'm not sure you can fix it in IE7, it's taking the words Unhealthy Attachment literally and it's probably it's malicious software removal tool working. Short of renaming the story something that has 'attachment' or 'unhealthy' in it.

Try adding a comment in the middle of the title words somewhere.  That usually fixes the curl error and this looks similiar.

Unhealthy Att<!-- -->achment

You may have to do it through phpmyadmin.  It's probably being stripped from the form and there's no way around that.

Okay I went to phpmyadmin and fanfiction stories, searched by storyid (sid) and then added the <!-- --> to the title and now I'm no longer getting the security warnings! thanks for helping!
