Hi πŸ™‚

I've just uploaded and installed efiction onto my server, logged in as admin and started setting categories. However, when I tried to show the site to someone else, they got the following error:

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/content/d/u/c/ducktheduck/html/includes/dbfunctions.php:17) in /home/content/d/u/c/ducktheduck/html/header.php on line 127

I then clicked "log out", and the same screen came up. What do I need to do to solve this?

Edit: Forgot my site URL: http://hogwarts-quill.com

You can try this. Use PHPMyAdmin.  Goto the settings table change maintenance to 0.

I'm quite new to this sort of thing, so bear with me.

I'm in PHPmyadmin at the moment, and I've located the maintenance in the settings table - which value would I change to 0?

Length/Values or Default? At the moment the length/values field is empty and the Default field is set to 0.

Thanks for this help, I really appreciate it!

I think you're in the wrong place.  You need to click on the "Browse" tab and then select the row that's in the table.  Edit the value of "Maintenance" there.

OK, I've changed that, but the error is still coming up when I try and access the site.

You're sure?  It seems like the error is coming from the maintenance function.

http://hogwarts-quill.com/user.php?action=login

Log in to your site and go to Admin->Settings->Site Settings and turn maintenance off.
