I am running the most up to date version of 3.1. My site is www.spntwisted.com. I did search the forums for 'edit' and 'Internet Explorer' with no luck.

This error only affects users with Internet Explorer. I tried it with IE 7.0 and got the same problem. Usually I use Firefox which works fine. I have a several skins on my site and this problem is on all of them except the elegance skin. Below is a list of the skins I have:
elegance - no problems I could find
SpnBlue -freezes (WritingPlus3 with a different banner)
SPNCrow -freezes (WritingPlus3 with a different banner)
SPNDukes -freezes (WritingPlus3 with a different banner)
SpnTwisted -freezes (WritingPlus3 with a different banner and additional color changes that seem to not look right on IE)
WritingPlus3 -freezes (no mods)
Zenlike -freezes (no mods)
I am able to edit chapters in Firefox with no problems. I just got the reports from new members that use IE. I even browsed all the bug reports, support forums for 3.0 and any other likely forum. I didn't see anything talking about this problem. Oh and debug is currently on.

Turn debug off and see if it's still happening.
ETA It seems to be an issue with your skin as I can pull the page up fine if I force it into the default skin. And as all but one of the skins you list is modified from WritingPlus3, I'd start there looking for your problem. I'm moving this to the skinning forum. The Firefox HTML Validator is showing an unclosed <div>
It doesn't seem to be happening anymore. Was it something I did that caused it? Just so I know better than to do it again. 🙂
