State the nature of your problem: I was trying to upgrade to 3.4.2. I uploaded the new stuff and then went to load my site to finish the upgrade. The following was the message I got:
A fatal MySQL error was encountered.
Query: SELECT author.penname as penname, co.uid FROM fanfiction_coauthors AS co LEFT JOIN fanfiction_authors as author ON co.uid = author.uid WHERE co.sid = '32'
Error: (1146) Table 'marfic_archive.fanfiction_coauthors' doesn't exist
I have searched the forums and I've tried a few things (manually changing the version and fixing the typo in update.php) but neither of these have worked. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Edit: I usually use Safari (I run Windows though) and the site address did not change, but when I went to try using Internet Explorer, the URL went from http://maraudersfics.wsnw.net/update.php to http://maraudersfics.wsnw.net/maintenance.php. I'm not sure if that is normal, but maintenance was not turned on prior to the attempt at upgrading.

If you open the update.php file in efiction in notepad do a Find all instances of "coathor" and replace it with "coauthor", save and run the update it will give rid of the first sql error about the table not existing with the typo.
If the above doesn't work for you, go into your tables with phpmyadmin. Do you see any coauthor table there? I'm guessing not with the error you have. Personally I ended up adding the table manually and then it worked fine.

How would you set up the table manually? I'm not quite sure how to do that.

I have this directly from update.php:

If you have a table prefix, you must add it in, however.
