In case someone else is having a similar problem:
Question: I was editing a story and adding new chapters to it through my admin powers. For some reason, it saved the files to MY folder, and not the original author's, of whom I was adding the chapters for. I first noticed this when I realized that the "New Story" alert e-mails were not being sent to my admin e-mail, the first 3 did, but after that none showed up. The chapters say that they are by me in the table of Contents.
How do I switch authors? The chapters are saved as files. Do I just move the text files to the other author's folder and edit the chapters in the database to list her author ID number in the UID?
Answer: Yes. 😛

Or edit the chapter and change the author. At least that worked on my local installation.
Yeah.... that would be the easy way unles syou have 20 such chapters to change. 🙂
