I was trying to install the challenge module and I get the message:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_VARIABLE in /home/*******/public_html/modules/challenges/install.php on line 16

P.S. I am using 3.0.1.

Change line 16 to this:
if(isset($anonchallenges)) $output .= write_message(_ALREADYINSTALLED);
If you have upgraded from 2.0 you do NOT need to install the challenges module. It is already installed for you. Also for future reference, please go back and read the instructions for submitting a support request.
