Just ran the 3.3 upgrade on
http://www.pretendercentre.com/missingpieces/index.php

and all went well, except for modules: betareader and display word

neither of them are showing up in my modules list and when i try to run the install manually i am getting an: You are not authorized to access that function.
I have tried uninstalling them as well and same thing.

The beta-reader is causing this error when i try to do an author or member search:
A fatal MySQL error was encountered.
Query: SELECT field_id, field_title FROM fanfiction_authorfields WHERE field_name = 'betareader'
Error: (1146) Table 'pretende_mp.fanfiction_authorfields' doesn't exist

thanks
jacci
i downloaded both of them from your site Tammy just before i upgraded (today) and so they should be the most recent ones

When you added the files to the modules folder. When you logged into ADMIN->Modules, they should have been listed with a "Upgrade this module" or "Remove this module" link. Is it possible that not all the files got uploaded?

They are not showing up at all in the modules panel.

I checked the upload and not a single file was dropped, and then, just in case my ftp lied, i re-uploaded both of those modules agian(word and beta) and still no good.

Sort of FIXED!!!

It was the version i downloaded from Tammy's site, it was the old one and was out of date.

I copied the one from my test site with the first dl of efic 3.3 (the one and that has fixed this problem)

throwing new error now, but browse is working agian

Can't help on Beta reader (since I don't have that one install), but you seem to have Display word working.

You sure that's a problem with the beta reader module?  It looks like it's an error from the recommendations module.

I dont actaully have the recommendations module installed, so i was puzzled by that message too. It has never been installed, or even uploaded. in the betareader folder i have:
install, members, readme, stats, uninstall, update, and version
and nothing anyway for a recs mod

yeah babaca, i got the displayword working now, and had to dash of to work, so didnt get enough time to post an update on that but that seems fine using the one in the first 3.3 release

is all fixed now. Somehow I must have accidently got the mods from that orginal 3.3 dl swapping folders or smt (i have no idea what was going on there)
but a fresh dl with the updated version and a reinstall has fixed all of the problems and is working perfectly now as far as i can tell.

thnaks so much for your help

jacci

marking as solved
