State the nature of your problem: The Skins (no matter which one I use--EDIT: Except the "FireDark" which is currently set as default) disappear on SOME of the storypages. They work on some, and disappear on others. I can't find any obvious pattern to it. Do you have a test account for us? Does not matter if logged in or not. If do need a test account can use login: Test pwd: TestHelp (I guess you'll probably need to do this as I set the default skin to one that doesn't have the problem. Either that or go to the home page and select any skin except FireDark or FireLight then go to the links)

Things I have done:
Tried reuploading viewstory.php
Tried reuploading skins
Tried uploading skins that I know work (I am new to skinning and CSS so thought maybe I'd made some sort of coding error)
Tried to find a pattern: it's not all NC-17 stories, it's not all stories by a same author, it's not all stories posted before any specific date (or after any specific date).
I *think* it is only happening on IE--the same page(s) seem to work okay with Firefox. Not sure of any other browsers.
For some reason on the pages where it's not working, it just doesn't recognize the css; I designed a skin today that is entirely tables/HTML and it works, but any skins that use css does not.
I am at a loss of things that could be causing the skin to disappear and on how to fix it. Any suggestions would be HIGHLY appreciated!
(I think I may have put this in the wrong area. Sorry 'bout that--I'm not sure how to move it...)
Moving to skins support...
If it's working on one skin, then usually that means that something is wrong with the other skins. You might have a .tpl that is wrong in the folders that you just copied from one and used from the others.
Sometimes when I have problems like this, I just take the skin that works, duplicate it and edit the copy to replace the messed up ones.
FireDark and FireLight seem to be working with Firefox on my computer. Lightening's header doesn't stay formatted in Internet Explorer for one of the stories that you said doesn't work.
I have no idea why.

Yes, I designed the FireLight and FireDark ones yesterday using entirely HTML/Tables (no .css) and those two are working on all pages. Any of the other skins (including the ones that are packaged with efiction) won't load the skin (the style.css file) on SOME of the stories. It would be less confusing an issue if it happened on all of the stories, or only with a particular skin; but there it is... I'm still trying to figure it out.
