I know some of these may seem stupid, but I had to be sure!

1) What use of Rejection and Acceptance Letters exactly are?

2) If I send Yes letter but do not validate the story, the author waits?

3) Or if send No letter and do not delete the story, what happens? It stays like that until the author changes it?

4) When I delete a story, is it removed from the authors User Page too, completely?

5) If I want the author to edit his/her story, I send no letter and delete it?

6) If I delete the story without the no letter, the author will be notified about it?

What I mean to ask is, how the moderators operate, please help πŸ™‚ Do you all send first the letters, then act?

Edit: Oh and one more: A validated author, is a free-submission one, right? He/she can send whatever he/she wants, without my validation?

1) In case you want to send a message to the author ... then there you go. πŸ™‚ For example, if you want to explain why their fic got rejected, you use the rejection letter.

2) I haven't tried it, but I assume so much.

3)

4) Yes.

5) You could do that or leave it there, so the author can edit it. The author can always add back.

6) I think they'll be notified.

I usually send the letters then validate/delete. πŸ™‚

And yes @ validated author question.

1 as Jenny said

2 if you send the yes letter they get the yes letter email but the story will remain unvalidated untill you validate it

3 again they would get the no letter email but the story would remain on the server unvalidated untill you delete it or untill the author themselves delete it

4 again Jenny has already answered this for you πŸ™‚

5 you could delete it but the member would have to retype their submission which may annoy them if it happens alot due to only small errors

6 no the author is only notified if you specifically send the no letter before deleting the submission

I send the acceptance/rejection leters first and then validate/delete the submission appriopiately

and yes to your last question a vaildated author is allowed to submit submissions without waiting for your approval
