eFiction 3.3.1 bridged with SMF 1.1.4:w/Tiny Portal 0.9.8

Since SMF if my homepage - and not eFiction, I've had an rss feed of recent stories on the homepage.  This had always worked perfectly before and was a simple solution to an obvious problem - until it stopped working.

In fact, the RSS feed has completely stopped working.  I had the feed on my iGoogle page and that doesn't work either.

This was working just fine, until I changed my server setting from PHP5 to PHP 4 to solve the problem of unwanted slashes in Recent storiy titles menioned here: https://efiction.org/forums/index.php?topic=6113.0

The RSS feed seems to be working until I click on a link and I get the message"

No input file specified.

One link for example, is looking for: http://www.escape-ism.com/viewstory.php?sid=159

Is it saying I'm missing a file?? I haven't deleted any.

Can anyone please help?
I have not heard of any other way to display recent stories from eFiction on SMF and my site is really broken without this feature.  πŸ˜₯

Your siteurl in your site settings is wrong.

You have:

http://www.escape-ism.com/

It should be:

http://www.escape-ism.com/ourstories/

In my admin settings it shows the url as: http://www.escape-ism.com/ourstories/

Does it need to be changed somewhere else as well?

When you click on the "Home" button in the fic site it does link to http://www.escape-ism.com/
Is this maybe a skins problem if you have your site settings site url  in efiction as http://www.escape-ism.com/ourstories/ ?

That's just a custom  menu - with full urls though... I don't think one affects the other.
That was all there before the RSS thing stopped working too and there had been no problems.

Both templates were implemented and worked just fine before the rss feed stopped working too... so I'm pretty much at at loss at this point.

Maybe I need to change something in rss.php?
No clue how to even begin...

edit:

The problem seems to have somehow miraculously FIXED ITSELF - because everything is working like it should now.
I don't know how or why - I'm happy it's working  - but just as confused as I was to begin with. lolz
