State the nature of your problem:
Everything was fine a few days ago. I updated to the latest version a couple days after it came out. Everything worked fine. I didn't make any other changes, except for posting a news article (and people did add more chapters to their stories).
But, this morning I got an email saying that one of my members couldn't update 2 of her stories. This what she said:
I'm not very computer literate so it is probably my mistake.
Around 10:30/ 11:00 this morning, I logged on - I entered my penname and
password then I clicked Manage Stories, Add new chapters in the A Cold Day
in PC spot. The submission rules screen popped up and I scrolled down and
began to fill in the information just like always. I cut and pasted my
story from word I did not download where it says (Browse). Then to make
sure the spacing was correct I clicked Preview and it deleted all of my
story and stayed on the submission rules screen. Then I re-entered the
information and I clicked Add Story and it did the same thing. It deleted
the work that I just entered. So I went to send you an email on the site
and it did not go through. It sent me an error message.
I am trying right now at 1:07 to re-enter my update and I just pressed Add
story and it didn't work. I don't know why it isn't working, I'm doing
exactly what I did before, just this time it's not working.I hope this helps you, thanks again for all of your help and your quick
response.
She also said that she couldn't send me an email (the form worked before). So I tried as well, and nope, it no longer works.
I tried to make a test account, it went through, but it didn't send the activation email.
I tried to have it re-send it, but nothing.
I was able to update my story, but I'm also the admin.
Edit: For some reason, mail can be sent again. I re-uploaded emailer.php and phpmailer_include.php, but I don't think that was it because I never did anything to them in the first place.
I made a test account
Username: Noname
Password: stWbKN7NnF
I still don't know if people can post, but I'll try it.
Edit 2: I was also able to post a new story under the test Account, so I'll contact my member and ask her to try again.
I did decide to get rid of the E-fiction contact page because I like mine better.

I don't know why this happened, but my first thought is that the files got corrupted. Maybe when you tried to upload a newer version, or when your server was doing something. It's happened to me before.
Whoever said nothing is impossible never tried slamming a revolving door.
