would be nice if on submission form has a box for upload a cover art for the fic
Do you have image uploads allowed on your site? If not, you might consider it. It's not a box in the submission form, but it's a separate area in account management that allows for images to be hosted by the site and provides the a tags to them, which can then be copied and pasted into the story text or profile of the user.
Even if the image uploads are off, the IMG tag is enabled in TinyMCE so users can post images they uploaded elsewhere (photobucket, etc) in the summary, which would show up in the recent list, profile page, table of content, etc.
Skins made by Kali are no longer supported!
As per what Kali said:
Hint: Add the <img> tag to the list of allowed HTML tags.
Has anyone used the image uploads? I've never enabled it on a live site, primarily because we have a separate subdomain for art, but I'm wondering if anyone has been using it and in what capacity. Simply to give people a place to host their images? That seems like it might could get a little out of control (hotlinking, etc.) without a way to control it. (We have a .htaccess file that would actually control hotlinking, but for those who don't?)
Actually... I would have loved to have a field for that too because I'm so not crazy about having the image in the summary field... that bugs me to high heaven and then some. I've tried it with a story of mine and I actually removed the image from the summary because it drove me bananas.
But it would be nice to be able to add a banner wherever we placed the tag. I personally would like to have it on the viewstory and the storyindex... anyhow.

I'm having image uploads enabled on my site. But the site is not huge, so it's possible for me to keep an eye on things. I probably wouldn't do it with a larger site, because you would have to enforce your own rules regularly and that's just too much hassle.
I don't permit displaying images in the summary and will personally removed them (as I find that rather ugly). So, instead users can display images either in the story notes (which would come up in the storyindex) or the chapter (would come up in the viewstory). My own example is here: http://www.naiceanilme.com/viewstory.php?sid=1105&chapter=1
I can't find one for the storyindex at the moment, at least not on my site.
That makes sense. We've got currently around 13,000 accounts (how many are actually valid is much lower, I'm sure) and so image uploads always seemed like something else I didn't want to hassle with, even with the .htaccess file helping us control at what domains images can actually appear. People can, of course, host their images somewhere else for their profiles and such. I don't think many people have ever put them in story notes or text, now that I think of it, though there's not a specific rule against it.
