Is there a way to remove chapters? I don't mean singular chapters, I mean remove the ability to post chapters? My site is for long fanfiction only, and on speaking to some possible users, they didn't want to have to scroll through chapters. They wanted the story all on one page. Is there any way to do this, and also remove the 'completed' checkbox, as I am only going to allow users to upload completed fiction?

Thanks for your help.

Hmm, I don't know... but are you storing the stories on the database or in the stories folder? Because if it is the database you would hit a limit of just how many characters a "long" story can hold.

I was intending to use the stories folder, for that reason. That's the intention anyway, I'm just getting to know my way around.

If it's only about the fact that the story should be on one page, why don't you use the print function? It gives you the whole story in one long page, maybe you can tweak that for your purposes?

Yeah.  I would suggest you still upload in chapters even if you're storing in files.  Besides the database, you can also have trouble with long chapters on slower connections or with server limits causing time outs.
