Remove story from favorites not showing and question about rec file...

It will be in listings.tpl and possibly in the index.tpl if the use tpl option is enabled. It's been years since I looked at those skins so I don't know. The recommendations file is used if you have the recommendations module installed.

Thanks Tammy. Can you tell me what the command is for removing favorites? I see {add to favorites} but even on all the other skins I don't see anything like {remove from favorites} or {options}, whatever it might be that controls this function.

Also, could you please tell me know to see if the .tpl files are enabled for these skins?

There isn't a skin variable for listings.tpl for removing favorites. To do that go to Account > Manage Favorites, select which type, and then you can see the options for removing them.

Thanks Lyndsie. I get how to do that, but I have two skins where the remove from favorites doesn't even show as an option. It shows on all the other skins just fine, but with the Midnight Blue and Red skins, it just says add to favorites. All the other skins gives you

Options: "Edit" or "Remove From Favorites"

but not these two. I don't know why or how to get it to show up. Currently, if someone wants to remove a story they have to switch skins which is a pain in the rear. I was thinking maybe it was just missing the command, but when I looked under the listings and index tpl files for all the other skins, it doesn't show anything different there than it does for these two skins. It's just odd.

I saw {add to favs} or {add to favorites} and thought maybe it was just part of the script in the main files somewhere and that command would handle all of the actions (add to favs, remove from favs) but if it does, then it should still show up under these two skins too.

Maybe that's what Tammy was referring to with the tpl option enabled? I don't know how to check the skins to see if it is or not. Maybe that might be why? *shrugs* I'm either not looking in the right place or not looking for the right thing. That's for certain. I never am. If it wasn't for everyone helping out here in the forum, I'd be completely lost with everything in eFiction. I imagine a lot of us would be. lol

I didn't even know you could do it. None of my skins have remove from favorites in listings/viewstory.
