Im curious, Im using wordpress for a fansite that I have a fanfics archive for, is it possible for me to show the latest updates to a specific featured fanfiction on the main site?
You'd have to write something to do it, but it is possible. Easier if the two are running on the same database so you don't have to switch back and forth. It's probably something you'll have to write yourself or have custom written as it's a pretty specific situation for you. There's not going to be anything existing to do it.
I seem to remember in the last month or so someone asking how to make an RSS feed specific to a certain story. So if you find that thread & create that, I know a lot of these content management systems have add ons for displaying RSS feeds. That might be a way to go.
