Okay, I'm using a modified version of Goku Girl's "Aquaberry" skin. This has a "Random Story" box on the index page, and a "Most Recent" box in the sidebar. I want to switch these around, which seemed fairly straightforward, but it's not working properly: The Random Story appears in the sidebar on the index page, but not on any of the other pages.

Go to Admin->Blocks and change the default of Random story from Index only to Active. Also you might try in the Options next to Random to use .tpl

I did try those, and nothing happened; however, I found the fix in variables.php which came with the skin. 😀
