I am working on a plot generator to add to my site but I am using the template.php for that but I also wanted a random quote that could work in the profile page and wondered based on Box with images in Profile...
Question: Would this code be able to pull different files and just output the results depending on what you choose?
I am thinking of a random quote in the profile. If you see here I have a quote but I had typed this in the profile.tpl. I know this wouldn't work since in theory everybody would get the same quote until I change it manually again. I am wondering if you choose from " LoveQuotes", "Sex Quotes", "Funny Quotes", "Random Quotes" and one select from the jumpmenu "love quotes". It would pull from separate (with quote list) files so wherever you place {quotes} in the profile.tpl would give you the love quote you asked for.
Sorry, if this isn't explained well.
I guess I am requesting since I wouldn't have a clue to start in the coding.

Except... I'm not sure if QuoteME allows you to choose the source of your random quote. You may have lists for all those things and enter the quotes there, but I don't think it's possible to tell the script: "Well now that you have all those nifty quotes, I want you to pick only from that specific list and ignore all the others".

Yeah, it doesn't do what I want but I'm trying it anyway. One question where do you place the include in the profile.php. I am assuming since it needs php and not the profile.tpl but if you look here, you see the problem I put mine right before ?> since I didn't know where and didn't want to mess things up but on the profile info it comes up twice and in the wrong place.
How do I get the quote to show where I want?
TIA

You put that in your tpl file where you want it to appear. Refer to the other thread where you asked how to call the script. π
