b]URL to your eFiction: http://ltaurfanfics.awardspace.com/Index.htm
Version of eFiction: 3.2
Have you bridged eFiction, if so with what?: not bridged
Version of PHP: 4.4.1
Version of MySQL: 4.0.24
Have you searched for your problem: (yes/no) yes
If so, what terms did you try: looked at threads with similar names
State the nature of your problem: after I uploaded the 3.2 files (with the latest version you uploaded Tammy) the software asks me to update. When I click yes I get the following error:
A fatal MySQL error was encountered.
Query: CREATE TABLE `fanfiction_stats` ( `sitekey` varchar(50) collate latin1_general_ci NOT NULL default '0', `stories` int(11) NOT NULL default '0', `chapters` int(11) NOT NULL default '0', `series` int(11) NOT NULL default '0', `reviews` int(11) NOT NULL default '0', `wordcount` int(11) NOT NULL default '0', `authors` int(11) NOT NULL default '0', `members` int(11) NOT NULL default '0', `reviewers` int(11) NOT NULL default '0', `newestmember` int(11) NOT NULL default '0' ) ENGINE=MyISAM
Error: (1050) Table 'fanfiction_stats' already exists
Do you have a test account for us? No

How'd you get a table called fanfiction_stats in there?  What's it doing?

I received this same error after I had an issue with the installer and tried to run it again without reverting the database.

Skins made by Kali are no longer supported!

Yes, same error on my site. I tried to fix this, but all I got were more and more mySQL errors. Hmm.

Well unless you tried to run the update twice, it shouldn't be there. You'll probably need to roll back to your backup and run it again.

No.  You need to restore your database back to where it was before you started the update.  Your supplied link isn't valid  so I can't look at your site.

I didn't backup my database. I'm not even sure how to. Anyway I deleted the files on my server other than tiny mce and the stories folder and reuploaded everything else. Now I'm getting another error

A fatal MySQL error was encountered.
Query: alter table fanfiction_authorinfo add primary key(uid,field);
Error: (1068) Multiple primary key defined

so I still can't update.

Thats the link to my site. Sorry about the wrong link earlier. Hopefully you can see it now and see what's going on.

You're going to have to go through the update file line by line. Take this file and upload it over your original update.php. Go to the url, and try to run it. When you get an error, find the line that's causing it, and delete all the database queries above that (but leave the top part of the file in place) then run it again. It'll take a long time, but it's the only way I know you can do it if you didn't back up  your database.

ETA: I removed the file because it was causing some confusion.

If you did backup your database are you supposed to do the same thing?

If you did backup your database, you can do the same thing, or reupload your backup and start over.

I pasted the new coding into the update.php file and this came up:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in /home/www/ltaurfanfics.awardspace.com/update.php on line 147

I can't even run the update this way. I tried using the update file without the new stuff over written and deleted the lines that acted up. But I just got more and more mysql errors. I really don't know what to do.

every query seems to be giving me an error. I can't figure out how the database has gotten so messed up. The only thing I can think of is that during the uploading of files I stopped the upload because I thought it was uploading to the wrong place. And I had a bit of trouble downloading 3.2. Kept getting a corrupted file. I don't know if something's been messed up somewhere.
