I have got the files onto my computer but i dont know what to do now, how to install them, do i need a server? (i dont know what that is)
and how can i get started?

Hi xox. If you want to run efiction on a website, then you need to get server space on a hosting service that offers php and MySQL support. There are several recommendation threads in the Archive Administration forums.
After you get hosting space, please read through the readme files that come with your download and ask us any specific questions you might have. You can also look around on these forums for information.
Google anything you don't know. For example, "free hosting", or search around this site, this has been asked countless times, don't worry you're not alone. But it does get tedious when people don't search 😉
