Yesterday Freetype Project was installed onto my server so now my CAPTCHA is working.  I made a new account to verify it myself.

However, I was looking over the Action log and my newest member, who I know for a fact is human, kept requesting a password, and none was sent.

I have no idea what this means or what it could be causing it.

If no one has complained, it's most likely that person's email address rejected the email as spam. They often wind up in the spam folder...

Try sending yourself a message from your site (either by contact us page, or even lost password/register). If you don't receive an email it's possible that your webhost has changed some mail settings.

I sent myself a comment through the "Contact" form on my author page and another through "Contact us", which sends to the archive's email address.  Both went through fine.
I've also been receiving messages from other users (about un-related things) so I know the mail seems to be working.

This particular user has a simple gmail email, so I don't know why it would not send.

gmail is one of the ones that most often has problems.  It'll stop stuff from even getting to the junk mail folder.  Do a search in the forums for email issues, there's a message with some instructions for adding a record to your mx settings that might help.  It had some other advice as well.

I followed the instructions in this post, so we'll see what happens.  However, both my and the archive email accounts were with gmail and they did not have any problems.
