All right, this problem occured only recenlty and not with all stories and frankly, it's freaking me out. I searched the forums, but so far nothing that was suggested applied.
I was running 3.3. until two weeks ago. A non-validated member posted a new chapter. When I wanted to validate it, I saw the chapter and end notes, but no story text. Thinking there had been some hiccup, I asked her to try again, which didn't help. When I upgraded to 3.3.1. the chapter text magically re-appeared. So I thought it was a one-time thing.
But now I see this: http://www.naiceanilme.com/viewstory.php?sid=1200 From chapter 14 on there is no text. The last update on this story was on 1/2/08. There are newer stories in the archive, which look fine, like this one from 1/5/08: http://www.naiceanilme.com/viewstory.php?sid=1224
Now, I'm storing chapters as files, the folder is set to 777. Safe mode is off. This seems to occur sporadically, does anyone have an idea what the cause could be?
Check and see if the story had the word "curl" in it. That will freak out some servers because curl is also a php command. If the story had the word curl in it, if you can edit the story, change curl to c<!-- >url and it should upload fine (and the word will still look like "curl" on the screen.
