My Site: In The Moonlight
eFiction: v3.4.2
PHP: 5.2.4
MySQL: 5.0.27-standard
Mods: Challenges, Submit Time and Word Count

Ok, so I have had this problem before when my site was running eFic 3.3.1.  It will resolve itself after a while but this is the second time I've gotten the message in the last 2 days or so.  Here is the error message I'm getting:

Warning: mysqli_query() [function.mysqli-query]: (HY000/5): Out of memory (Needed 1048548 bytes) in /home/inthemoo/public_html/includes/mysqli_functions.php on line 19
A fatal MySQL error was encountered.
Query: SELECT count(DISTINCT uid) FROM efictionfanfiction_challenges
Error: (5) Out of memory (Needed 1048548 bytes)

The Query information was not challenges when I had the problem with 3.3.1.  I know Tammy mentioned in the thread that I'd started back then that they were trying to fix it for 3.3.1.  I'm just curious as to whether anyone knows why it's still persisting and if there is anything I can do to keep it from happening again.

Looks like it's up now. Random fluke?

Seeing as you've got under 10 challenges, I'd say it's not the script.  Most likely a problem at the server.  You might try using phpMyAdmin to optimize and/or repair the table.
