I've another idea (I'm master of ideas but champion procrastinator)
I'm thinking, is it viable to make a mod that allows stories from each category to be saved to different folders, domains, or even hosts?
What would be the technical difficulties and perhaps security concerns in achieving this?
For example, if Host A disallow stories of Category 1, yet Host B allows it, but Host be disallows Category 2, but Host A allows it, would one installation of eFiction be able to cater both categories by saving the files into the different hosts based on the category or would it be easier to install two eFictions on both hosts and use the same database in one of the hosts and saves the files on their local story directories?
This is quickly becoming to sound too much like an essay question, so I'm gonna stop now π
[A story of Category 1 departs from Host A at 10.15...]
Cheers,

I guess it depends on what you mean by different hosts. Are you talking about subdomains here or different hosting accounts or even different servers? If it's the last two I'm 99% sure that isn't possible. If you had two different sites on separate subdomains, however, I believe that would work. You could just use the same author database on both eFiction installs (Tammy made a thread someone in the support forums) and then just put different categories for each site. Although, as far as combining categories (like if site A and B have the same one) I'm not sure if that would be possible.
