I'd really like for contact us mails to go to all the admin as was asked about here for 2.0 - I did take a peek at the file mentioned there but I'm no coder, though I can manage to change stuff with instructions fine I couldn't tell what I'd need to be moving to the contact.php to achieve this.
I think ideally it'd be good to have some kind of admin inbox system so all admins could see new messages from users, and the replies from other admins too or simply have it flagged as dealt with by an admin - but just having the message sent to all the admins would satisfy me for now because then we can mail between each other to let the others know it's dealt with.
Currently I'm a bit worried about what happens with someone using the form whilst I'm away and it only going to me and an issue not being dealt with for however long I'm not about. I think my only other option is edit the contact.php to show a list of the archivists with contact links to them each, which I think I can do easily but the change to contact all admins for Contact Us form is preferable.
If your host has the capacity, set up a listserv and have the site's email be the listserv address.
The best my hosting has was email forward so I created an admin address that forwards to all the admins emails.
Though in terms of the mentioned mod idea, neither the forward or a mailing list would solve the issue as even having the site email by the mailing list has the same issue as the forward - if one admin replies to the user with the problem, no one else sees the emails between them unless the admins share one email account or just copy/past the correspondence each time to other users/mailing list as we intend to do in this case. Of course I could be missing some option for mailing lists that makes them more suitable than I think, I've not used that many myself.
The mod idea is more like an admin's support system with tickets for help requests, having the correspondence recorded and accessible to all mods to reply to the user via the system with the user reply coming back to that ticket. Probably hideously complex though, right? Makes me curious if an existing basic ticketing system could be bridged with an efiction install somehow... I'm only familiar with Request Tracker myself, which I reckon would need to be cut down for integration because there's so many features in it I can't see would be any use - something far simpler would do for an admin support interface.
I wasn't commented on the mod idea. I was commenting on how you could have the emails go to all the admins. As for the admin response. Make it a policy that the admins must cc the admin email when they respond. Then everyone gets it.
