Hi!
I administer the fanfiction archive http://www.immaginifico.com/field/.
Some of our users asked us for a matter of privacy if it is possibile to remove the option that shows the author's reviews from the very author's page. Could we get a code modification in the script (we are using the last efiction version, 3.5.2) to meet our users' requirement? Giving the users the chance of choosing whether to show their reviews or not would be the best option. If we can't get the code modification, could we at leat know which file should be modified?
Thank you.
Disable the panel. Goto Admin->Panels. Select type P - Member Profile. Edit the Reviews panel. (Don't delete it in case you change your mind). Check the box next to hidden to hide the panel. It'll still be available if someone knows what they're doing, but it won't be visible on the page.
Please in future, do as instructed in the sticky threads. If you'd explored the admin area of your site or done a search of the forums, you probably would have figured this out on your own.
Thank you for the answer.
Maybe I didn't make myself clear. I would like to know if it is possibile to give THE USERS (including authors) the chance of choosing whether to show their reviews or not. If I disable the panel, then no author will be able to show his/her reviews to the readers. Since some users appreciate the function while others don't, we would like to meet everyone's requirement and respect their choices. The users want to be able to enable/disable the option by themselves.
You'd have to modify the script in order to do that. As far as I know, no one has yet posted a mod for that.
There is no way in the current script to do this, and it's not likely to happen in any future scripts either. It would be a VERY complicated mod.
