Hi,
Can anyone tell me if there are any Mods available for the following please; π
1. I would like users to be able to add an image to their profile without having to know html, in other words just a basic 'upload and browse' button for them to use.
2. I would also like to have a 'Add to Story' link at the bottom of stories pages when they have been marked as a round robin, is this also possible?
Thank you.
you should read the feature/mod forum or the readme but in answer to your questions
1 eFiction already has this feature under a members account settings under Edit bio where an image can be uploaded for use in a members profile
2 I guess it is possible but it would require hacking the files (i.e a mod) and really to be honest I ask myself if thats really needed as a member can just go to add new story from their main account page which I will add is the first page they see after logging in so its not like they dont know where the "add a story link is so I dont think I would personally add this feature though Tammy or someone else may have something to add to what I've said
anyway hope that helps

1. You can't upload an image there. You must do it from the manage images panel, but you don't need to know HTML, just the file location of the image. There's also a mod in this forum for an offsite image in the profile.
2. This already exists (and has since 1.1) add {roundrobin} to your viewstory.tpl The language setting is _CONTRIBUTE2RR in your language file if you want to change the text.
Thanks for the replies, and Thanks Tammy, got the second one working now.
So there is absolutely no way to do this on first one i mentioned (images)?
What about having an 'image' button on the TinyMCE bar when writing a story? Its just that I have noticed it shows up on TinyMCE in Admin and other areas but not on the 'Add new story' pages. Is this what it is meant to do or do i have an error somewhere?
Thanks π
It can be done. Nobody has written it though. And if you're going to write it, be very careful that you don't leave a security hole that allows visitors to upload non-image files or files corrupted with scripts.
Thanks Tammy I never thought of the security issue, and thank you for responding so fast.
You can probably get the security information from the existing image upload function Tammy has already written.
