Hi,
URL to your eFiction: www.entropiafiction.com
Version of eFiction: 3.4.3
Have you bridged eFiction, if so with what?: No
Version of PHP: 5.2.6
Version of MySQL: 5.0.51a-community
Have you searched for your problem: yes:
If so, what terms did you try: URLs in News, Links in News
State the nature of your problem: I've been trying to get my efiction installation to display links in the news items that I post but can't seem to figure out how to do so. Would I have to add a tag to allowed tags box in the site settings page, and if so what would I enter for <a href=""url">" where url is the url of the page I'm trying to link to?
Do you have a test account for us? No
Thanks
Do you have TinyMCE enabled? If so then it should be easy to create links, since it's a WYSIWYG editor. However if you want to do it the manual way, I believe the tag you would want to enter is <a>.
Also for future reference, please use the Support Request Template which is located at the top of every Support Forum when asking for support, as it would help us immensely.
Yes, add just <a>, as Becca said. It's not included with a new install, and so I've added it to each of my site's allowed tags lists and then creating a link anywhere (custom pages, in story text, etc.) will work just fine.
Apologies for not using the template. I've changed my post so that it's in the right format.
Anyway, yes I am using the WYSIWYG editor, and adding the <a> tag worked just fine.
Thanks for the help.
