I have tried repeatedly to do this myself and have looked through various options, but since I'm not sure really what I'm looking for I'm not sure I'd know the right option if I came across it.  I've looked through the forums and found a couple of questions regarding no coded stories but none of them have anything to do with uploading txt or doc files.

I am looking for a way for authors to upload txt or doc files to the archive without coding whatsoever, as most of them are pretty html incapable.  I was hoping eFiction would have this option, but I'm not seeing it.  I tried uploading a .txt file but it merely uploaded without any coding whatsoever, with everything all run together without paragraph breaks or other html coding.

The archive is located at http://www.darksigma.com/roytoys/fanfiction/index.php

Thank you!

By their very nature, .txt files have no html, so if you don't want to use html, that is what you are going to get. You should get breaks though. Are you using tinyMCE? You can copy and paste the text into the TinyMCE box, or the plain text box and it should keep the line breaks. If it doesn't, then I don't know what to tell you.

I don't think you can upload doc files. With Word, you can export a document as html, however. it's just how you save.

Whoever said nothing is impossible never tried slamming a revolving door.

Yeah tinyMCE is turned on.  Hmm. Was afraid of this. *sigh* Thanks for the prompt response though!  And advice!
