URL to your eFiction: http://blacklashed.net/
Version of eFiction: 3.5.1.
Have you bridged eFiction, if so with what?: No
Version of PHP: 5.2.8
Version of MySQL: 5.0.77
Have you searched for your problem: Yes
If so, what terms did you try:  error, edit stories
State the nature of your problem: page loading is blocked
Do you have a test account for us? No

A index.PHP file starts to download when you try to visit one of the archive pages which causes them not to load. I am unable to log in or out or do anything on the archive because of this.  Am I being hacked? I have no clue but things were working perfectly fine a minute ago and now this. Here's a screenshot of what's happening:

Wow, that's unusual. You should probably check your files to see if you were hacked, though it could be something else. What page are you trying to view when you get that?

I've had that problem before, but it was always because I was messing around with MIME types/apache... You might want to look into that. Do you have a .htaccess?

archive: dramione.org
site: accio.nu

Available for skin/mod commission! 🙂

Okay, so the original problem I posted about is gone but a new issue has arisen.

I'm able to login but I cannot access my admin or user functions. I get a message saying I'm not authorized and all my stories aren't coming up, only the summaries and story notes.

I'm getting error messages like these:

Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: open(/tmp/sess_2f8d84bec2921b5b3b918ac1b9bca874, O_RDWR) failed: Permission denied (13) in /home/xxx/public_html/header.php on line 56

Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at /home/noel/public_html/header.php:56) in /home/xxx/public_html/header.php on line 56

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/noel/public_html/header.php:56) in /home/xxx/public_html/header.php on line 65

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/noel/public_html/header.php:56) in /home/xxx/public_html/header.php on line 66

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/noel/public_html/header.php:56) in /home/xxx/public_html/header.php on line 67

I just have no clue if this is a hack or something else. I looked through my story.php file and stories file but I didn't see anything unusual. At this point, I want to put my archive on maintenance mode but I can't access the admin functions.

I created an account (Amarante) on your site to try to see what is wrong, perhaps you could grant me admin privileges so that I can see if I get the same error? I'm having no problem accessing anything at the moment.

Hi Becca,

I cannot grant you admin privileges because I cannot gain access to the admin functions. It says I'm not authorized and logs me out.

ETA: Okay I deleted cookies in my browser and I'm able to see the archive normally.

Session start errors are a sever configuration issue.  Talk to your host.
