Hi,
I'm Miky, an italian webmistress.
I would like to install efiction 3 in my site, www.sigillodeimondi.altervista.org, and I need two different sections, with two different efiction's options.
Now, I'm installing efiction in the first section, called "animinfon", but I don't understand what "table prefix" means: somebody can tell me what I must insert in it?
And how can I insert the second section, called "hystorius"?
I've tried to put a new folder for it, but I've obtained same efiction in both sections.
I hope someone can help me...

And sorry for my english, but I not improve it for long...

Thanks for your answers!

Bye,
Miky

firstly your webhost has to support php and mysql for eFiction to work

secondly the table-prefix is only really needed if your running more than one instance of eFiction and therefore can be left blank I also recommend that you read the readme docs that come with eFiction too as they have all of the info you need

~Spikey~

my site url: http://www.fanfictionworld.org
efic version:3.5.3

Thanks so much, fanfictionworld.

I read the readme doc, but I 've not found the info I need...
I've installed Efiction, and I've left blank the table prefix. But now, when I insert a second folder for the second section, after I install efiction in it, categories, classifications, ratings, etc, of the firs section are the same in the second one...
I need a site structure like this: -www.yoursite.com/info- and -www.yoursite.com/fanfiction- , when info and fanfiction are two different efiction's site, in same database...

Thanks.

And... happy new year, even if two days late ^^

If you have two efictions in the same database, then you need table prefixes for both of them.

Whoever said nothing is impossible never tried slamming a revolving door.

url: https://www.potionsandsnitches.org/fanfiction
php: 7.4.33 msql: 5.6.51-community GPL
efic version: 3.5.5 latest patches: yes
bridges: none mods: challenges, tracker, story end, beta, word

Thansk, Jan_AQ.

Now, can you tell me what I must insert in table-prefixes?
For example, for "Info" site  must I insert "info_settings", and for "fanfiction"'s one "fanfiction_settings"?

Thank you, so much.

Miky

You can put whatever you want for your table prefix. I'd put something that differentiates your archives.

Thanks!
I've solved this problem!

Now, can you tell me how execute a database's backup? After I've downloaded .sql file, I don't know where I must insert it...
