I've uploaded my e fiction software to www.thesweetescape.net.
As you can see, it is my index page. I'd like to change that.
Are there any implications to simply moving the files to a sub directory called /fiction ? and adding an index page? I've looked through everything and as far as I can see, t wouldn't hurt anything or break any links. I'd hate to find out AFTER I tried to do this that it's not recommended, so I thought I'd go ahead and ask here first.
Many thanks for your help!
I think everything should be fine if you move it to /fiction, the only thing you would need to do is make sure you change your settings so that the site url is http://thesweetescape.com/fiction and not the original URL.
As for adding an index page, if you'd like what you can do is use an index.html or .htm and it will be used instead of eFIction's index.php, the index.php will still be there and be accessible, but will not be the default when you go to http://thesweetescape.net/fiction, it will direct you to whatever the index.html file is.
Make sure though that you make backups beforehand, just in case something goes wrong.

Most definitely. Was just scared of moving things around.
I'll try it out later on. Thanks!
