ok! i ripped apart the FAQ, search on forums, and most files, and i cannot seem to locate WHERE the skin is calling the header from..? heck i cant even find the image! π can anyone explain to me how exactly to find it and modify it? im about to have a nervous breakdown in a minute i been trying so hard LOL π
Try header.tpl in the skin's folder.
Whoever said nothing is impossible never tried slamming a revolving door.

hehe, yes, i understand that is used for the header, but it calls the "banner", but no location or way to change it is my issue π
It's in the style sheet.
There should be an element called #banner where you can change it.
If you need more help, we'll need to know what skin and the url to your site.
right now, im fiddling with the CSSZen skin, as it's style-file is most organized and not a jumble lol, and as i explained in a previous topic, i cannot state my site currently do to it being in pre-beta phase, and i have had snoops from my site actually find links i posted at sites like this before, so i cannot do such currently.
but yes, i found the #banner, but again, i dont see how it's called. it's just color, border, etc, no actual image is being pulled out of anywhere... lol π im considering just giving up, and put it blank or such.
There is no image. The entire skin uses CSS. Put your image inside the banner div in the header.tpl file.
... ok let me post this in simple terms.
i dont know CSS, never heard of CSS, till this program, so you must understand i DONT UNDERSTAND LOL. "oh change the banner div" ok... to what? do i change it names, do i call it from the root images, do i make some other adjustment? -.-
also not trying to be rude, just blunt π
so yea... any responses would be nice -.-
Impatient much?
Do what Tammy said. Add the image to the banner div in your header.tpl using the image tag.
Don't know html or css? Google is your friend. I'd tell you how to do it but html and css are basic skills you need to run a website and I'm not doing you any favors by just telling you.
But also it's 'cause you didn't ask nicely then expected immediate response on SATURDAY night!
seems asking nicely gets you no where, nor do the people around here seem to understand what a BLUNT comment is, not rude ty. well, ty all for the uselessness and poor adminship! really shows me how to NOT treat my users! π
Asking nicely does get you nicely, though.
I don't think Carissa was replying in reference to your "blunt" comment, but on your blunt comment and your second reply. And to be honest, I think Carissa was perfectly valid in her reply.
I don't know, but as easy as editing it actually is, I think I'll leave you to figure out that one, yourself. D: (And it is rather easy if you enlist Google as help)
