Hello everyone,
I added most of the authors in my archive personally because I transferred the stories from my old, html-based archive into efiction. Now many of these authors have asked for passwords but when they ask for passwords they don't receive e-mails, even though I added their e-mail adresses.
Any idea why this is the case or am I approching the problem in a wrong way?

I just want to know if it's at all possible for authors created by the admin to receive passwords or if it isn't.
https://efiction.org/forums/index.php?topic=5744.0 could this help me or not? because users in general do receive e-mails. only the ones whose accounts I created that try to receive their passwords don't get an e-mail as far as I know.
You could go in to Admin->Members->Authors go to their profiles and give them a generic password. Then let them log in and they can change the password to whatever they like after that. Otherwise, if they are not receiving emails it could be a problem with the way your webhost is handling emails.

Did you release the account to the author?
Admin-> Members -> Authors Input by Admins
Click on the name of the author to release the account to the author.
@Tammy: Thank you! I didn't realize I had to release the accounts first! It said the e-mails were sent. I have yet to wait to ask the authors if they all received e-mails but it sounds good. so thank you for now! 🙂
