Hello peeps!
I spent a couple of hours trying to install the new eFiction, but every time I do it, although everything is installed all right, when I go and try to click on user.php to log in, it says that an error has occurred. I on't know if it's just me having selected something wrong, but it's 4 in the morning and I'm getting really tired. I was so keen in trying and have my website ready and now... well, I can't.
I have followed the instructions exactly and left also all the default details. I created the admin username and all. config.php is chmod 777. the website is http://www.fanfiction.it/prova/efiction/eFiction331/
Please help π I don't know what to do anymore
Config.php should be chmod to 666 (not 777, the stories folder can be 777 but not config). Later you can change the config.php to 644 so it won't be tampered with. You also don't seem to have any skins. Did you upload them? If so, choose one as a default.

whoops, sorry my fault I was sleeping... I mean, I chmoded config.php to 666 not to 777!!!! It was the right chmod!
I don't think that the skin is important but I'll try and upload some as soon as I can. Thanks for answering. Any other ideas?
Did you set your set up as an Admin or just a user?
http://www.fanfiction.it/prova/efiction/eFiction331/user.php?action=login
Should bring up the login page but it doesn't I get a You're not authorized.
Did you turn off submissions in Admin? Even so in theory typing the link above should let you log in.
You also need to start filling out other things like ratings, and categories, for the script to start really behaving. At least I've found that. I would try uploading all the efiction files except for the install folder since it look like it did install, but you seem to be missing some stuff. Ah and don't reupload TinyMCE because that folder upload takes forever and a day. That may be vital to getting the script to work. (Actually given that someone had a similar problem (at least the no skins part) it seems some of their files had been uploaded in the wrong place. This might be the same in your case, so I would try reupping all the files except Install and tinymce:)

Re-upload login.php in the users folder. Seems to be missing maybe.
