This is just a general question so, no support template.
Where do I place this code for my favicon?
<link rel="shortcut icon" href=""favicon.ico"" >
I'm thinking it would go into the header.php somewhere, but I'm not too sure. Plus, it would have to be added again after most patches and updates. Is there any chance of getting something like that included with efiction? π
Okay, it was more than one question. Sorry π
Put it in your head tags of your index.html in your root directory and it will go on every page in your site if you want it to display everywhere.
Not sure about if you only want it for the efic pages, try putting it in your header.tpl for each skin you want to display it??? maybe?
I have mine in my homepage index and that shows up on all my efic pages.
why is nothing ever easy?

In header.php.
I don't really see this necessary for the basic eFic installation. (I would like all the header part to be added as a customizable template as well, and for header.php not to output anything to the browser for reusability purposes, but that is another issue.)
If you use the default favicon file name, browsers will find it anyway, so no need to define it in the header. On the other hand, if you do use a customized filename, then you'll need to change it in every eFic update anyway. (Here is another reason for separating HTML header output from header.php into templates.)

I actually put my code under the <title> tags in my header.php I kept it named favicon.ico incase I change it, but it works perfectly.
