de-bridge SMF from eFiction 3.5.3

I currently have eFiction 3.5.3 bridged with SMF. I want to get rid of SMF without losing the author/user accounts on eFiction. But I cant figure out how to de-tangle the code... every time I try eFiction tells me it can not access the database.
