Site URL: www.dracoandginny.com (Just upgraded it without a hitch!)

I'm posting this as a possible mod request because I think the current system probably works fine for most people, but for our purposes it's a little awkward.  The main problem is that our site has 8,000+ members and growing, so it takes a bit of time for the co-author list to populate whenever "Add New Story" is selected, and is hard to find names.  Perhaps some sort of search function might work?

Wow. Yeah you guys have a ton of members. I think that maybe listing A BC D E, ect instead of names at the beginning might be a better mod. Kind of like the way the catgeories work when subcategories are involved. you click on the main category and the subcategories load in the box.

Whoever said nothing is impossible never tried slamming a revolving door.

I'm sorry it's difficult for you, but you're going to have a hard time finding anything that's not as difficult or more difficult.

You can't do what Jan suggested without splitting the coauthors into a new form.  And it becomes even more difficult because you have to take into account adding multiple coauthors.  You'd have to find each co-author, add them, then find the next, add them, and continue.

Yeah, we have a lot of members.  I long for the bygone days of last September, when we only had 2,500...

Thanks for the responses.  I'm sure there are loads of things out there with more priority than this, but I thought I'd put it out there.  If ever I find the time to improve my coding abilities, maybe I'll give it a shot.  For now I'll just turn it off.  In the past people have created joint accounts when they've coauthored stories, so they can just continue to do so.

Thanks again!

I can't do it for you, but something you might try is putting the co-authors in a separate form in either an iframe or a pop-up that feeds into a hidden field in the main form using javascript.
