[CLOSED] Removing unused field headings in search, browse, author & title pages

First, this is not a general support request.  This is a mod.  From what I see of your site you're attempting a very ambitious mod to use this script in a way it isn't designed to be used.  As such, I'm going to have to say your on your own on this as far as help from me goes.  Others on this forum can certainly help you if they wish.  However, there are only so many hours in the day, and there's only so much time I can devote to this project.  Bug fixes and helping people use the script as it was designed come first. 

I'll also tell you right now that what you're wanting is much more difficult than what you think.  I can't walk you through re-writing the script because that's what you're asking.

Some of what you want to do can be done by turning off some of the panels.  I suggest you go read the admin manual and look through the site settings.

I had been able to turn of those things which had panels prior to asking but most of what remains doesn't have an existing panel.

I would have put this in a mods forum, but you haven't put one up for 3.0 yet 🙂

I don't really understand what you are trying to do, but if you don't want

to show up on the story listings, then just take them off of the listings.tpl file. it seems like you are using Zenlike, so you would go into /skins/Zenlike/listings.tpl.

For challenges, just don't install the module (or if it's installed, uninstall it). Other than that, I would recommend just not using the Browse page as a link anywhere. Link to the main catgeory page instead, and whatever else you use, like Warnings and Ratings. Create menu links for those things, or create a custom page that links to the ones you want to use.

I'm not sure about taking those things off off the search and the add a story page though. That would need modifying the script itself, php files, and i'm not sure how to do it, or even what files they are.

The story additions form is in includes/storyform.php  The search form is within the search page itself.
