Hello!

I've been trying the new eFic3 on a local machine, and I have problems with logging out. Namely, I cannot manage to log out normally. I click on logout, it runs and loads the index back, but I'm still logged in.

One thing for the developer – in two places in "logout.php" variable's $VarName name is misspelt with the small "v". And variable names are case-sensitive in PHP (has it always been like that though?), so I got an undefined variable error message until I corrected the variable name. Still, it didn't help for the logging out.

Another thing is that I get logged out after I restart the browser. No matter if I had tried to log out or not, I get logged out if I close the browser and open the eFic page again.

I'm not sure what is the problem here. Is it the eFiction script? Or is it yet a bit buggy Firefox 2? Or is it some funny server configuration on my side? Or something else?

The wireless music box has no imaginable commercial value. Who would pay for a message sent to nobody in particular? (1920)

Well since it's been released for about a month now and this is the first I've seen of logout issues, I'm going to guess it's not the script.  Thanks for catching the $VarName problem, but that's only going to affect  the cookie.  As for server vs. browser problem, why don't you try opening your local site in IE and see if you still have the problem?  You might also try turning debug on and see what the session and cookie data is.

I've marked this as closed since there's been no activity for over a month.
