Although the form works on my site, it didn't for my friend's site (I have since solved the issue) but I saw something that didn't make much sense.

If the form doesn't work, you get sent to a page that says "The email could not be sent. Please contact the administrator to report this problem."

And the link is back to the contact form. How could they ever contact you?

Shouldn't there also be an option to say, "Or send the email to blahblah@mysite.com"?

Should this go to the suggestions forum?

Well there are tons of ways to contact the administrator on my site. The member list lists all the admins/mods. Plus I have a shoutbox and comments on news... not to mention all the groups I have, but not every archive has groups.

I believe that the way it is, is so that you never show anyone's e-mail address anywhere on the site. That includes admins...

But I don't think that you are supposed to be getting "The email could not be sent. Please contact the administrator to report this problem." in the first place. Better report it as a bug. I think I got that once when I forgot to fill in my e-mail, instead of just my name.

You can change the text in your languages/en.php file.  That statement is used in a couple places that send email and the problem isn't necessarily the contact form.  A bad admin email is also the most likely cause.  In which case showing the admin email isn't going to do much.

You put your e-mail in html at your own risk.
