Hi

I installed 3.3 version with basic captcha, and I can see the code, but when I submit something, I get an error saying that the code don't match.

Whe website is: www.auroraseldon.com
The link for test: http://www.auroraseldon.com/viewstory.php?sid=2&chapter=3

Must I set something else?

Thanks

Well, after reviewing the code, I found that captcha number is saved in a session variable, and mine was blank, so I take a look to my session parameters.

I had a php.ini file with the session.savepath set to a directory within my site.

I deleted this php.ini file and the problem was resolved, but I don't have clear why.

Could someone explain me how work the sessions and captcha code?

Thanks

I'm having the same problem when someone tries to add an anonymous review.  Do you mean the php.ini file in your PHP directory?  Did you delete the whole file or just the session.savepath line?

eFiction archive:  http://www.hobert.net/fic
Version 3.3.1 upgraded from 3.3 (don't know if it was working in 3.3)
Tried Tammy's BASIC captcha as well, still not matching.

Have you bridged eFiction, if so with what?: No
Server Type: Win 2003
Version of PHP: 5.2.4
Version of MySQL: 5.0.45
Have you searched for your problem: Yes
If so, what terms did you try: captcah
Have you looked at the FAQs: Yes.

Well, I mean that I had a php.ini in my public_html folder, where is eFiction.

The problem seems to be the session.savepath, first, I delete the php.ini, but now I must put it again because I am having database problems, so I have to check the session.savepath and change it, and the problem was resolved.

Check if the path is correct.

Hope it help you.

I went into my main php.ini and made sure all the save_path and save_cookies pointed to real folders.  I also made sure the path was very, very  simple.

That seemed to help, but now I have a new problem, getting a SQL error.  Will start a new thread.

Again, thanks for the help!!
